I discovered yoga after graduating from high school over 27 years ago. I was looking for something more meaningful. I had joined the YMCA where I began taking classes. It started with two days a week, but within six months, I was a daily student. I started revolving my work/life schedules to get to my favorite teacher’s classes, and very quickly, I realized my yoga was more important than my job. It allowed for me to connect with myself and discover who I was and wanted to become.

Fast forward to 2010 I left my job as an HR Generalist/Employment Specialist in corporate America and made plans to make yoga my career, not just my hobby.

For me, yoga is about the balance between the mind, body and breathe. It is the connection or reconnection of the three. I like to refer to them as the “holy trinity of the yoga practice…one won’t work to the best of its capability without the other”. Yoga allows the practitioner to experience strength and flexibility, exertion, and releasing. So, my classes combine both strength and mobility work in a dynamic, Vinyasa Flow style. Expect to move, sweat, breathe, and most importantly connect.
