Dr. Joy, Preceptee

Dr. Cylinda Joy Haynes (NMD Preceptee), better known as Dr. Joy, is a graduate of California Polytechnic State University of Pomona with a bachelor’s in Food and Nutritional Science and a minor in Dance. She then went on to graduate from Sonoran University of Health Sciences in Tempe, Arizona formally known as SCNM where she completed more than 1100 hours of clinical training. Dr. Joy specifically devoted over 400 hours towards working with the pediatric community. Her compassion for this medicine in this community was sparked with inspiration from her childhood pediatrician. She is also a member of the American Academy of Naturopathic Physicians (AANP). In her free time, she enjoys salsa dancing, teaching Zumba fitness classes, skating, reading and serving at her church. Her spirit of service and a kind heart makes her a fit for just about anyone.

Dr. Joy focuses on treating many common childhood chronic conditions such as: ADHD, Autism, PANDAS, mental health, migraines, epilepsy, allergies, and more. As well as other symptomatic concerns such as: cough, ear aches, sore throat, constipation, diarrhea, abdominal pain, rashes, teething, and reflux/colic; while also performing child well checks.

She also has a special interest in preconception care for women and men, and post-partum health. Dr. Joy primarily uses nutrition, homeopathy, acupuncture, cupping, and supplementation to treat her patient. Along with treatment, she implements the naturopathic principles of treating the whole person, prevention, and education to support patients and parents to achieve optimal health.
